Sandals Grande Antigua 7-Day Sample Itinerary

A 7-Day Sample Stay at Sandals Antigua

Day 1: Arrival + Dickenson Bay
Arrive, check in, and immediately ditch your shoes. Take a dip in the beach-entry pool to shake off the flight, then wander Dickenson Bay at sunset. Dinner at Bayside—casual, beachside, with views that scream “you’re finally here.”

Day 2: Pool + Pizza
Start with a lazy pool day (trust me, you’ll need it after travel). Grab a Bella Napoli pizza for lunch—perfect to eat poolside without breaking your lounging streak. End the night at Soy for sushi.

Day 3: Half-Day Excursion + Marios Feast
Take the Shopping Tour in the morning—Heritage Quay, Vendor’s Mall, maybe snag some black pineapple and souvenirs. Be back by the afternoon for pool time. Dinner at Marios where the charcuterie bar will ruin you for all future vacations.

Day 4: Adventure Day
Go all in with a Barbuda day trip or a beach-hopping excursion. You’ll come back sandy, salty, and ready to collapse at Barefoot by the Sea for dinner. Eating conch fritters with your toes in the sand is a core memory.

Day 5: Watersports + OK Corral
Use the morning to actually try the included watersports—kayaks, paddleboards, even a Hobie Cat if you’re feeling adventurous. Afternoon nap by the pool, then head to OK Corral. Don’t even think about skipping La Media Luna dessert (yes, this is your first of many times after you taste it).

Day 6: Chill + Romance Night
This is your reset day—slow breakfast, book in hand by the pool, maybe a couples spa treatment. For dinner, book Eleanor’s or one of the fancier options for a romantic evening. If you’re into nightlife, wander to the entertainment stage for music after.

Day 7: Farewell Finale
Morning walk on Dickenson Bay. Pool float time for one last sun-soak. Order that last pizza, sneak in one more dip, and wrap it up with your final dinner at your favorite spot (mine was OK Corral, because apparently three desserts = tradition).

Final Thoughts

Sandals Antigua may not be the newest Sandals resort, but it’s got character, heart, and one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The pool is huge and perfect, the food surprised me in the best way, and yes, I may have befriended a few cats along the way.

Wrap-Up:
Sandals Antigua might not wow you with marble lobbies or brand-new sparkle, but it wins with soul. It’s walkable, relaxed, and perched on one of Antigua’s most stunning beaches. Add in good food (La Media Luna forever), friendly cats, and a pool you’ll dream about, and you’ve got a resort that feels like home base in paradise. Antigua may claim 365 beaches, but for me, the one at Sandals Antigua is enough.
